The Atlas Sound TSD-TXHL is a passive high-to-low level converter that interfaces with 4Ω, 8Ω, 25V, 70V, and 100V distributed speaker lines, providing an unbalanced line-level output for driving remote amplifiers or signal processing equipment. It allows AV integrators to tap into existing distributed audio wiring to extend or split zones without running new dedicated signal cables. The TSD-TXHL requires no external power and uses an isolated transformer to prevent loading the source speaker line.

Product Description

The TSD-TXHL is designed for installations where an existing 70V or low-impedance speaker circuit needs to feed a secondary amplifier, local zone amplifier, or auxiliary processing device at a remote location. Because the internal isolation transformer adds no measurable load to the speaker line, the primary system's audio continues to operate normally while the secondary feed is active. The output impedance is 600 ohms unbalanced with a maximum output of 500mV, sufficient to drive the input of most professional and commercial amplifiers. Frequency response extends from 40Hz to 25kHz, preserving the full audio bandwidth of the source signal. An input gain adjustment switch and a trim level control on the output allow the TSD-TXHL to match a wide range of source levels and downstream device input sensitivities without requiring external pads or attenuators. Removable I/O connectors simplify field installation and future serviceability. The TSD-TXHL works particularly well with Atlas CP and PA Series amplifiers in multi-zone distributed audio expansion scenarios. Dimensions are compact at 4" x 2.5" x 1.5", suitable for installation inside enclosures or above-ceiling mounting.
