Product Overview

The Atlas Sound TSD-BB44 is a 4 input x 4 output DSP audio processor built for commercial audio installation in conference rooms, courtrooms, restaurants, and multi-zone paging systems. Part of the AtlasIED BlueBridge networkable DSP family, it gives integrators an open-architecture, drag-and-drop programming environment with Ethernet connectivity for TCP/IP control. Each of its four inputs is GUI-selectable between mic and line level, making it a flexible front end for video conferencing audio integration and sound reinforcement. For system designers who need clean, dependable signal processing in a compact chassis, the TSD-BB44 is a cost-effective core for small-to-mid scale commercial AV deployment.

Product Description

Atlas Sound TSD-BB44 4 input x 4 output DSP audio processor front view

The TSD-BB44 pairs high-quality THAT Corporation microphone preamps with 24-bit converters to deliver an ultra-low noise floor, while a 48kHz, 40-bit floating point DSP engine prevents the digital clipping that can occur in fixed-point processors. The result is clean, smooth audio with the processing headroom to run advanced algorithms in complex system designs. Inputs are mic or line selectable with 48V phantom power enabled from the GUI, and the four balanced line outputs include peak and signal indicator LEDs for fast troubleshooting during commissioning. Gain is adjustable from -40 to +15dB in 0.25dB steps, giving precise level management across the signal chain.

Programming uses BlueBridge open-architecture, drag-and-drop software with standard mixers, gain-sharing auto-mixers, delays, equalizers, duckers, filters, level controls, and dozens of other processing blocks. The processor operates on any network — it only needs a network connection during setup or when ongoing control is required — so it also suits standalone live speech applications. When networked, every BlueBridge processor is auto-recognized and controllable, which simplifies multi-processor commercial audio DSP installation. The companion BluePanel software lets designers build custom control interfaces for computers, iOS and Android devices, or AtlasIED wall controllers such as the BB-TOUCH7 touch panel, giving end users volume control, source selection, and room combining without direct access to the DSP itself. Typical deployments include video conferencing rooms, house of worship audio systems, presentation spaces, courtroom AV, room combining, background music, and multi-zone paging. Pair it with amplifiers and speakers from our AtlasIED collection to complete the signal chain.

Key Features

  • 4x4 Matrix Architecture — Four mic/line selectable inputs and four balanced line outputs handle routing and mixing for most small-to-mid size commercial AV systems.
  • 40-Bit Floating Point DSP Engine — The 48kHz floating point engine prevents digital clipping and provides the processing power for complex algorithm chains.
  • THAT Corporation Mic Preamps — High-quality preamps and 24-bit converters achieve an ultra-low noise floor for demanding speech and program audio.
  • Drag-and-Drop Open Architecture Software — Integrators configure mixers, auto-mixers, EQs, delays, duckers, and filters without proprietary programming certification.
  • Ethernet Network Control — TCP/IP connectivity enables cost-effective remote control, and networked BlueBridge processors are auto-recognized for multi-unit installations.
  • iOS and Android App Control — BluePanel custom interfaces give end users controlled access to volume, source selection, and room combining from mobile devices.
  • 48V Phantom Power — GUI-enabled phantom power supports condenser microphones on any input without external supplies.
  • Output Peak and Signal LEDs — Front-of-unit indicators speed up commissioning and ongoing troubleshooting.
  • Compact Footprint — At 4" wide and 1.5" tall with an included external power supply, it mounts discreetly in credenzas, lecterns, and equipment closets.

Typical Applications

  • Boardroom audio processing and video conferencing
  • Conference room and huddle room AV systems
  • House of worship speech and program audio
  • Government spaces and courtrooms
  • Commercial meeting spaces and multi-purpose rooms
  • Training rooms and all-hands rooms
  • Auditorium sound reinforcement

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the TSD-BB44 require a network connection to operate?
No. It must be connected to a network during setup and when remote control is needed, but once configured it runs standalone — useful for live speech applications where network control is unnecessary.

Can the inputs accept both microphones and line-level sources?
Yes. Each of the four inputs is GUI-selectable between mic and line level, with 48V phantom power that can be enabled per input for condenser microphones.

How is the TSD-BB44 programmed?
Configuration uses AtlasIED's free BlueBridge open-architecture software with a drag-and-drop interface. Pre-configured design templates are available through the AtlasIED BlueBridge training program for active customers.

What end-user control options are available?
BluePanel software lets designers build custom control pages accessible from networked computers and iOS/Android devices, and it programs wall controllers such as the BB-TOUCH7 touch panel for volume, source selection, and room combining.

Will it integrate with other BlueBridge processors in a larger system?
Yes. Every BlueBridge processor on the network is auto-recognized and controllable, so the TSD-BB44 scales into multi-processor designs alongside other AtlasIED DSP hardware.
