The Atlas Sound T95-8-10 is a heavy-gauge steel torsion-mount back enclosure for 8" loudspeakers with an extra 10" depth for improved acoustic loading. It is designed for recessed ceiling installations requiring a protective back can with enhanced low-frequency performance. The 1 1/2" thick high-density acoustic fiberglass lining reduces internal resonances and extends bass response, making it a preferred choice for high-quality commercial distributed audio systems. The T95-8-10 is UL1480 and UL2043 safety listed and BAA/TAA compliant.

Product Description

The T95-8-10 is an extra-depth torsion back enclosure constructed from heavy-gauge cold-rolled steel (CRS), providing a rigid, durable housing for 8" loudspeakers in commercial ceiling applications. The 10" internal depth delivers greater internal volume compared to standard-depth enclosures, which improves the acoustic loading on the speaker and extends low-frequency response for richer bass reproduction. Inner surfaces are undercoated to prevent metallic resonance in the high-frequency range, and the enclosure is lined with 1 1/2" thick high-density acoustic fiberglass (1.5 lbs. per cubic foot density) for superior full-range performance. Four combination conduit knockouts are positioned on the enclosure body to facilitate clean wiring installation and conduit runs. The enclosure supports a wide range of AtlasIED torsion-mount baffles, including T51-8, T60-8, T61-8, T62-8, 63-8, and other listed torsion and standard baffles. The textured black rust-preventive finish is suitable for plenum installation. UL1480 and UL2043 listings confirm suitability for life safety and plenum-rated installations. BAA and TAA compliance qualifies the product for government and educational projects. A 60-month warranty covers the product.
