The Atlas Sound T62-8 is a general-purpose 8-inch torsion spring ceiling baffle designed for fast, tool-efficient installation of standard 8-inch (203mm) loudspeakers in suspended ceiling grids. Constructed from one-piece 24-gauge cold-rolled steel with a textured white epoxy finish, it provides a clean, professional appearance suitable for commercial and institutional audio deployments. BAA/TAA compliant, the T62-8 is an industry-standard baffle with a long track record in distributed audio and background music systems.
Product Description
The T62-8 mounts standard 8-inch speakers using concealed loudspeaker mounting studs, keeping the installation tidy and the grille face unobstructed. The torsion spring mechanism allows installers to compress and lock the baffle into a ceiling cutout quickly without exposed fasteners or separate clips. The one-piece 24-gauge CRS construction provides structural rigidity without adding significant weight to the ceiling assembly. Its textured white epoxy finish blends with standard commercial ceiling tile, minimizing visual intrusion in occupied spaces. The T62-8 is compatible with a broad range of Atlas Sound companion enclosures and mounting rings, including the (EZ)95-8, T95-8, EZ96-8, CS95-8(NS), 199-8, Q408, and 96-8 series, giving installers flexibility in back-box selection. It is compatible with installations using or without a tile bridge, making it adaptable to both new construction and renovation projects. BAA and TAA compliance makes the T62-8 appropriate for government and federally funded projects requiring domestic and trade-agreement-compliant materials. An optional hydrophobic treatment coating is available for installations in humid or moisture-prone environments.
