The Atlas Sound SD3-14 is a recessed 3RU storage drawer for standard 19-inch EIA rack cabinets, providing 14-inch full-extension ball-bearing slide access for organizing rack accessories, media, microphones, cables, and tools. Built from 16-gauge cold-rolled steel with 100 lb-rated slides, the SD3-14 is designed for permanent commercial AV installations in control rooms, broadcast facilities, and Atlas Sound 300/320 Series wall-mount cabinets. It is a compact alternative to the SD4-14 for installations where saving one rack unit matters.

Product Description

The SD3-14 occupies 3 rack units in any standard 19-inch EIA cabinet and extends 14 inches on full-extension ball-bearing slides, allowing complete access to all stored contents without removing items from the front. The interior drawer width of 16-5/16 inches (414mm) accommodates tapes, CDs, microphones, tools, cable accessories, and miscellaneous rack hardware. Heavy-duty 16-gauge cold-rolled steel construction supports up to 100 lbs of content, and the ball-bearing slide mechanism provides smooth, controlled opening and closure throughout the load range. Hold-in detents keep the drawer securely closed during normal operation, preventing accidental extension in environments with vibration or physical contact. The recessed mount design integrates flush with the rack frame, maintaining a clean panel appearance consistent with other rack-mounted equipment. An ebony black powder-coat finish matches Atlas Sound and most third-party rack cabinets. The SD3-14 accepts the optional SD-LOCK accessory for keyed drawer security where access control is required. It is particularly well-suited for use with Atlas Sound 300 and 320 Series wall-mount rack cabinets.
