Product Overview

The AtlasIED RX14-25 is a 14RU mobile equipment rack built for portable AV systems, rolling production carts, and equipment that moves between rooms. With four heavy-duty casters, recessed side handles, and a welded 16-gauge cold-rolled steel frame, it gives integrators a transportable rack cabinet that holds up to 700 lbs of amplifiers, DSPs, network switches, and signal processing. The 25-1/2" cabinet depth accommodates full-depth rack equipment that shallow mobile racks cannot. For any commercial AV rack installation that needs mobility without sacrificing structural rigidity, the RX14-25 is a practical choice.

Product Description

The RX14-25 mobile rack cabinet is constructed of 16-gauge CRS manufactured to E.I.A. standards, with a fully welded frame finished in black epoxy. A front pair of 11-gauge adjustable mounting rails comes tapped 10-32 on standard E.I.A. 5/8"-5/8"-1/2" spacing, and front-to-rear rail supports use slotted cutouts so installers can set rail depth precisely and route vertical wire runs through open raceways. Optional RR14 rear rails add support for heavy amplifiers and deep equipment.

AtlasIED RX14-25 14RU mobile equipment rack with casters and side handles

Mobility is handled by four oversized 4" heavy-duty casters rated at 175 lbs each — 700 lbs total — with two locking casters to keep the loaded rack stationary during operation. Two recessed, hinged, rubber-padded steel road handles on each side (four total) make it manageable for two technicians to maneuver a loaded cart through doorways, elevators, and loading docks. Perforated front and rear top flanges, side panels, and the rear door provide passive ventilation to dissipate heat from amplifiers and processors.

Cabling enters through three wire isolation holes in the rear base flange: two 1-1/2" round openings and one 1-1/2" x 3" oblong cutout. The standard configuration ships fully assembled with base, top panel, side panels, rear door, and casters; an optional removable front door (right- or left-hand hinging) is keyed identically to the rear door for secured deployments in schools, government facilities, and rental inventories. The cabinet provides 24-5/8" of vertical panel space and 24" of usable depth, and the unit is TAA compliant for federal procurement. Whether it serves as a portable production rack for a house of worship, a mobile credenza rack for training rooms, or a transportable equipment rack for an integration shop's rental fleet, the RX14-25 pairs road-ready hardware with standard E.I.A. rack mounting.

Key Features

  • 14RU Capacity in a Mobile Chassis — Fourteen rack units of E.I.A.-standard mounting space travel on casters without rack disassembly.
  • Welded 16-Gauge CRS Frame — The fully welded cold-rolled steel construction maintains rigidity under transport stress for long service life.
  • 700 lb Total Caster Capacity — Four oversized 4" heavy-duty casters rated 175 lbs each, two locking, keep loaded racks mobile and stable.
  • Adjustable 11-Gauge Mounting Rails — Front rails tapped 10-32 on standard E.I.A. spacing adjust front-to-rear via slotted supports.
  • Integrated Wire Management — Slotted rail-support cutouts create open vertical raceways, and three rear-base isolation holes route external cabling cleanly.
  • Ventilated Panels — Perforated top flanges, sides, and rear door dissipate equipment-generated heat without fans.
  • Road Handles for Transport — Four recessed, rubber-padded steel grips (two per side) give technicians secure handholds when moving loaded racks.
  • Security Options — An optional removable front door is keyed identically to the rear door for lockable deployments.
  • TAA Compliant — The RX14-25 qualifies for U.S. government and federally funded procurement projects.
  • No Assembly Required — The rack ships with base, top panel, side panels, and casters installed, ready for equipment load-in.
