The Atlas Sound PM4FA-B is a 4-inch pendant mount speaker in black featuring the FA134 high-performance coaxial driver and a 16-watt 70.7V transformer, making it a reliable choice for commercial distributed audio systems in low-ceiling environments. The down-firing pendant design delivers wide 130-degree coverage from low mounting heights, suited for open-plan offices, retail stores, restaurants, lobbies, and other spaces where in-ceiling installation is impractical. The FA134 driver is the same component used in Atlas Sound’s FAP42T in-ceiling speaker, providing proven full-range performance from 70 Hz to 20 kHz for both music and paging applications. Three meters of 2mm cable and all necessary mounting hardware are included.

Product Description

The PM4FA-B mounts in a down-firing orientation from standard 3/4-inch ceiling fan hardware, simplifying rough-in in steel stud and wood framing construction. The attractive black enclosure suits modern commercial interior environments where speaker visibility is acceptable or intentional. The 4-inch FA134 coaxial driver delivers a 130-degree dispersion pattern in the 2 kHz octave band, providing broad horizontal coverage from pendant mounting heights typical of open commercial spaces. Frequency response extends from 70 Hz to 20 kHz with 88 dB average sensitivity, supporting both foreground music and voice paging applications with clarity. The integrated 70.7V transformer features taps at 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16 watts for flexible power distribution across multi-speaker commercial audio networks. An 8-ohm direct input is also available via a concealed terminal block, allowing the PM4FA-B to be driven directly from a standard amplifier without using the distributed audio transformer. The terminal block is concealed within the enclosure for a clean finished appearance. The included 3-meter cable provides adequate service loop for most mounting height installations, and the compatible 3/4-inch ceiling fan hardware mount reduces the need for specialized pendant mounting brackets. The PM4FA-B is the black version; a white variant (PM4FA) is also available from Atlas Sound.
