The Atlas Sound PD60A is a fully environment-resistant 60-watt compression driver for large format horn speakers, designed for high-power public address systems in expansive indoor or outdoor environments with high ambient noise levels. With a 2-inch voice coil and a plane wave frequency response of 100 Hz to 3.7 kHz, the PD60A delivers strong intelligibility over distance when paired with compatible large-format horn projectors. It is compatible with AtlasIED CJ-46, BIA100, and DR Series horns via standard 1-3/8-inch -18 thread male couplings.

Product Description

The PD60A compression driver is built for demanding outdoor and indoor PA applications where high acoustic output and environmental durability are required. The magnetic structure components are machined to tight tolerances for consistent performance across production units. A 2-inch voice coil handles the 60-watt continuous power rating without thermal compression at operating levels. Screw-type terminals provide direct connection to 16-ohm impedance loads, and the corrosion-resistant terminal connections are protected by a transparent, impact-resistant plastic cover that also provides strain relief for interconnecting cables. The 1-3/8-inch -18 thread male coupling at the throat mates with all standard screw-on horn projectors, including the AtlasIED DR Series double re-entrant horns, CJ-46, and BIA100 models. The driver is rated for continuous outdoor exposure with a fully weather-resistant construction suitable for year-round use in stadiums, outdoor amphitheaters, industrial facilities, transportation hubs, and other high-ambient-noise environments. TAA compliance makes the PD60A eligible for government and institutional procurement.
