The MO-2 is engineered for environments where standard commercial loudspeakers cannot survive. The heavy-gauge die-cast aluminum housing protects the compression driver from the mechanical and environmental stresses common in industrial plants, naval vessels, military vehicles, and mobile command units. A grey epoxy finish on all exposed metal parts resists corrosion from salt air, industrial chemicals, and moisture. The double re-entrant horn design maximizes acoustic efficiency from the 25W compression driver, producing a 550 Hz–13.5 kHz frequency response with 85-degree sound dispersion adequate for close-range to medium-range communication coverage.
