Product Overview
The Atlas Sound M2000-LP is a pre-assembled dual 2" x 4" paper cone sound masking speaker system with an integrated 70.7V transformer and front-mounted tap selector switch. Designed for installation in plenum spaces above suspended ceilings, it accurately reproduces the frequency spectrum required for speech privacy masking in commercial office environments. It carries UL1480 and UL2043 listings for use in air handling spaces and is compatible with any external masking generator and 70.7V amplifier.
Product Description
The M2000-LP uses an innovative square enclosure to ensure accurate sound masking frequency response, addressing the common limitation of rectangular or round enclosures that skew the masking spectrum. Two 2" x 4" paper cone speakers are included pre-assembled in the housing. The integrated 70.7V transformer supports five watt taps — 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, and 4 watts — plus an off position, all selectable via a front-mounted switch without opening the enclosure. Wiring is handled through a Romex clamp input with 18-gauge color-coded leads, and the cover includes both knockouts and a strain relief to accommodate rigid conduit, flexible conduit, or through-wiring as required by local code. This unit requires an external masking generator and 70.7V amplifier to operate. Dimensions are 2-5/8" H x 7-1/2" W x 7" D, weighing 3.3 lbs. Warranted for 60 months from purchase.
