Product Description

The M1000R combines a high-efficiency 8-inch paper cone transducer with a low-insertion-loss 70.7V line matching transformer, factory assembled into a 382 cubic inch (6.26 liter) round enclosure. The symmetric enclosure design keeps the unit level when suspended, avoiding orientation problems without installer adjustment. An external tap selector switch with positions at 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, and 4 watts plus OFF allows system-level tuning at the speaker to match zone coverage requirements. A 78-inch (2-meter) suspension chain is included, enabling quick height positioning in open plenum spaces after initial wire pull. An integral wire strain relief at the top of the enclosure maintains cable termination in plenum air-handling areas. The non-reflective black finish conceals the speaker against dark structural ceilings, exposed conduit, and black ductwork. This unit is tested and approved to UL 2043 for use in air-handling plenum spaces and is safety listed to UL 1480 and UL 2043.
