The Atlas Sound M1000-USA is a complete 8-inch dual-cone sound masking speaker assembly engineered for above-ceiling plenum and open-ceiling deployments in commercial open-office environments. The unit ships pre-assembled with loudspeaker, 70.7V transformer, square enclosure, and mounting hardware, and is assembled in AtlasIED’s Ennis, TX facility in compliance with the Buy American Act. It delivers configurable wattage taps from 0.25 to 4 watts, enabling precise zone-level tuning in any 70V distributed audio or sound masking system. UL 1480 and UL 2043 listed for use in air-handling plenum spaces.

Product Description

Designed specifically for modern open-plan offices where conversational privacy is a priority, the M1000-USA reproduces the masking spectrum accurately into the plenum space above a suspended ceiling. The 734 cubic inch square enclosure provides sufficient volume for adequate low-frequency response, ensuring the masking signal covers the full target spectrum. The specially designed 8-inch dual-cone driver is paired with a high-efficiency 70.7V internal transformer. An external wattage tap selector switch—offering 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, and 4-watt settings plus an off position—allows system tuning without opening the unit. The exclusive AtlasIED EZ hang brackets are factory-installed and collapse flat for shipping; they expand to support upward, downward, or horizontal firing orientations, covering virtually any installation scenario. An optional 72-inch suspension chain (MCHAIN72, sold separately) enables precise height adjustment in tall plenum spaces. An integral wire strain relief on the top of the enclosure provides secure cable termination. The removable input cover includes a combination knockout and strain relief connector to accommodate flexible or rigid conduit where code requires it. The M1000-USA meets BAA and TAA compliance standards.
