Product Overview

The Atlas Sound IP-ZCM1RMK is a single PoE+ IP-to-analog gateway with an integrated 15W amplifier and rack mount kit, built to connect a unified communications platform to legacy analog paging and notification systems. IT managers and AV integrators use it to bridge VoIP paging systems to existing 25V, 70.7V, or 100V overhead speaker zones without replacing installed infrastructure. It registers as a native endpoint with InformaCast and SA-Announce mass notification platforms or directly with any SIP server, making it a practical building block for IP paging system integration in schools, offices, and government facilities.

Product Description

Atlas Sound IP-ZCM1RMK PoE+ IP-to-analog gateway with rack mount kit

The IP-ZCM1RMK houses a factory-assembled control board in a rugged, compact 1RU chassis and includes a rack mount kit for installation in a standard 19" equipment rack. Functionally, it behaves like an IP speaker or IP phone endpoint on the network while adding both line-level and amplified analog audio outputs. The line-level output feeds AtlasIED AA, PA, or CP series amplifiers to drive large distributed zones of 25V, 70.7V, or 100V speakers and paging horns, while the onboard amplifier delivers one channel of 15 watts RMS at 8 ohms or 70.7V to power a small analog speaker cluster directly. Two GPI inputs and one GPI output allow the gateway to trigger or be triggered by access control and fire alarm systems, and a microphone input supports talkback and listen-in applications alongside two-way audio for video surveillance integration. Auto-provisioning and auto-registration configure the device on a voice VLAN much like a VoIP handset, so phones and paging endpoints share the same QoS policies for reliable, secure communications. In Cisco environments, the gateway joins Cisco Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) as a supported endpoint, preserving local paging and emergency communication when a WAN outage cuts access to the central Cisco Unified Communications Manager. Power comes from any IEEE 802.3af/at PoE or PoE+ network switch or a local 24VDC supply, simplifying commercial paging installation with a single network drop. Browse compatible 70V amplifiers and speakers at Creation Networks to complete the system.

Key Features

  • IP-to-Analog Bridge — Connects VoIP and mass notification platforms to existing analog overhead paging zones without ripping out installed speakers.
  • Integrated 15W Amplifier — One channel of 15 watts RMS at 8 ohms or 70.7V drives a small speaker cluster with no external amplifier.
  • Line-Level Output for Zone Expansion — Feeds AtlasIED AA, PA, or CP series amplifiers to power large 25V/70.7V/100V distributed speaker zones.
  • InformaCast and SA-Announce Native Registration — Registers directly as a communication endpoint for advanced alerting, bell schedules, and scheduled announcements.
  • Direct SIP Registration — Works with any SIP server or VoIP communications manager where third-party notification software is not required.
  • Cisco SRST Support — Maintains local paging and emergency communication during WAN outages in Cisco unified communications deployments.
  • GPIO and Microphone I/O — Two GPI inputs, one GPI output, and a mic input integrate access control, fire alarm assist, and talkback functions.
  • PoE+ Powered — Runs from IEEE 802.3af/at switches or a local 24VDC supply, reducing cabling and electrical work.
  • Auto-Provisioning and Auto-Registration — Deploys on the voice VLAN like a VoIP handset, cutting configuration time across large rollouts.
  • 1RU Rack Mount Kit Included — Mounts cleanly in a standard 19" rack alongside network and audio equipment.

Typical Applications

  • Government space paging and mass notification integration
  • Commercial meeting space and office overhead paging
  • Training room and multi-purpose room announcement systems
  • Auditorium and campus bell and alert scheduling

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the IP-ZCM1RMK work with InformaCast?
Yes. It registers as a communication endpoint directly within InformaCast and SA-Announce advanced notification applications for alerts, bell schedules, and scheduled announcements.

Can it register directly to a SIP server without notification software?
Yes. Where third-party notification platforms are not required, the gateway registers as a SIP device directly to a SIP server or VoIP communications manager.

How many speakers can the built-in amplifier drive?
The onboard amplifier provides one channel of 15 watts RMS at 8 ohms or 70.7V, suitable for a small speaker cluster. For larger zones, use the line-level output into an external 70V amplifier.

What powers the unit?
Any IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at compliant PoE/PoE+ network switch powers it over the network drop, or a local 24VDC power supply can be used.

Does it support Cisco SRST?
Yes. In Cisco environments it joins Survivable Remote Site Telephony as a supported endpoint, keeping local paging operational during WAN outages.

Can it integrate with access control or fire alarm systems?
Yes. Two GPI inputs and one GPI output allow the gateway to trigger or be triggered by access control and to assist fire alarm notification, and the microphone input supports talkback.

What warranty and support are available?
AtlasIED provides a 60-month limited warranty, and the Creation Networks team at creationnetworks.net can assist with system design and integration questions.
