Product Overview

The Atlas Sound IP-ZCM is a PoE+ IP-to-analog gateway with an integrated amplifier, built to connect a network-based VoIP paging or mass notification platform to existing analog audio systems. It gives integrators an addressable network endpoint with both line-level output and a 15-watt amplified output, so legacy 25V/70.7V speaker zones, paging horns, and third-party systems can join an enterprise IP audio deployment without rip-and-replace. The compact 1RU chassis registers natively with InformaCast and SA-Announce, joins Cisco SRST environments, or operates as a direct SIP endpoint. It is a practical bridge for phased analog-to-IP paging system migration in schools, offices, and government facilities.

Product Description

Most commercial buildings already have analog overhead paging infrastructure. The IP-ZCM lets system designers preserve that investment while moving call processing and notification to the network. Inside the rugged, factory-assembled 1RU chassis, a PCB control board provides the same addressable endpoint functionality as an AtlasIED IP speaker or an IP phone, with the added convenience of line-level and amplified audio outputs.

Atlas Sound IP-ZCM PoE+ IP-to-analog gateway with integrated amplifier

The unbalanced line-level output feeds AtlasIED AA, PA, or CP series mixer amplifiers to power large zones of traditional 25V, 70.7V, or 100V speakers and paging horns. For smaller clusters, the gateway's own amplifier delivers one channel of 15 watts RMS at 8 ohms or 70.7V — enough to drive a handful of analog ceiling or horn speakers directly from the unit. Two general purpose inputs, one relay output (2A at 30 VDC), and a microphone input support talkback, access control triggering, fire alarm assist, and two-way audio for video surveillance integration. On the network side, the IP-ZCM registers as a communication endpoint within Singlewire InformaCast and SA-Announce for bell schedules, scheduled announcements, and emergency alerts. In Cisco deployments, it joins Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST), preserving local paging during a WAN outage — exactly when emergency communication matters most. Auto-provisioning and auto-registration via SLP, DHCP Option 72, or IEDNet+ place the gateway on your Voice VLAN with the same QoS as your handsets, and the unit is powered by an 802.3af/at PoE+ switch port or an optional local 24VDC supply. The PA702-RMK rack mount kit (sold separately) holds one or two units side by side.

Key Features

  • IP-to-Analog Bridging — Connects a VoIP or mass notification platform to existing analog overhead paging, so legacy speaker zones become addressable network endpoints.
  • Integrated 15-Watt Amplifier — One channel of 15 watts RMS at 8 ohms or 70.7V drives a small cluster of analog speakers directly, no external amp required.
  • Line-Level Output for Large Zones — The unbalanced line output feeds AtlasIED AA, PA, or CP series amplifiers to power full 25V/70.7V/100V distributed speaker zones.
  • Native InformaCast and SA-Announce Registration — The gateway appears as a standard endpoint in leading notification platforms for alerting, bell schedules, and scheduled announcements.
  • Cisco SRST Support — Joins Cisco Unified SRST architecture so local paging continues during a WAN outage, maintaining emergency communication capability.
  • Direct SIP Registration — Registers to a SIP server or VoIP communications manager without third-party software for public address and critical alert applications.
  • PoE+ or Local Power — Operates from an IEEE 802.3af/at compliant switch port or an optional local 24VDC power supply for flexible rack and IDF placement.
  • GPI/O and Microphone Input — Two general purpose inputs, a 2A relay output, and a mic input support talkback, access control, and fire alarm assist integration.
  • Compact 1RU Chassis — Half-rack-width form factor mounts one or two units per rack space with the PA702-RMK kit (sold separately).
  • Five-Year Manufacturer Warranty — AtlasIED backs the IP-ZCM with a 60-month warranty from date of purchase.

Typical Applications

  • Government space — tying municipal VoIP platforms into existing analog paging during phased upgrades
  • House of worship — adding network announcements to legacy 70V distributed audio
  • Commercial meeting space — zone paging and emergency notification across mixed analog/IP infrastructure
  • Multi-purpose room — amplified output for small analog speaker clusters tied to the network paging system
  • Training room — talkback and scheduled announcements through existing ceiling speakers

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the IP-ZCM drive my existing 70V paging speakers?
Yes, two ways. Its integrated amplifier delivers 15 watts RMS at 8 ohms or 70.7V for a small speaker cluster, and its line-level output feeds AtlasIED AA, PA, or CP series amplifiers for large 25V/70.7V/100V zones.

Which notification platforms does it support?
The IP-ZCM registers natively with Singlewire InformaCast and SA-Announce. Without third-party software, it registers directly to a SIP server or VoIP communications manager.

Does it work in Cisco environments?
Yes. It joins Cisco Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) as a supported device, so local paging continues if the WAN link to Cisco Unified Communications Manager fails.

How is it powered?
By an IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at (PoE+) compliant network switch over the RJ-45 connection, or by an optional local 24VDC power supply.

Can it integrate with access control or fire alarm systems?
Yes. Two general purpose inputs and a 2A @ 30 VDC relay output allow the gateway to trigger or be triggered by access control, assist fire alarm notification, and support two-way audio for video surveillance.

How do I rack mount it?
The optional PA702-RMK rack mount kit accommodates one or two IP-ZCM units mounted side by side in a single 1RU space.

What warranty and support are included?
AtlasIED provides a 60-month warranty. Creation Networks offers system design help for analog-to-IP paging migrations — reach us through creationnetworks.net.
