Product Overview

The AtlasIED IP-DMF is a PoE+ powered indoor wall-mount IP endpoint that combines a high-resolution LCD display, integrated talkback microphone, and ADA-compliant LED flasher for networked mass notification and paging systems. It pushes audio and scrolling text alerts to lobbies, corridors, classrooms, and production floors where desktop telephony cannot reach and high ambient noise demands visual messaging. The endpoint registers directly with Singlewire InformaCast, Syn-Apps Revolution, AtlasIED notification platforms, or any standard SIP server. For IT and facilities teams extending a Unified Communications investment into physical spaces, the IP-DMF is a single-cable, network-managed solution.

Product Description

The IP-DMF runs on existing WAN/LAN infrastructure and behaves like a VoIP handset on the network: auto-registration places it on the Voice VLAN alongside IP phones, sharing the same Quality of Service so notifications are delivered reliably. In standby, the display shows NTP-synchronized time and date, eliminating the need for a separate master clock system — a meaningful line-item saving in school and campus IP paging deployments. When a notification fires, the display switches to scrolling text, and with InformaCast or Revolution the LCD background color syncs to notification profiles, giving occupants instant visual distinction between normal, warning, and emergency messages.

AtlasIED IP-DMF PoE+ wall mount LCD endpoint with talkback microphone and LED flasher

The LED flashers below the display alert room occupants to incoming scrolling text in accordance with ADA effective-communication requirements under Title II — relevant to every state and local government installation. A PoE+ powered amplifier drives up to two analog 8-ohm speakers for announcements and intercom, while the integrated talkback microphone enables two-way communication for emergency check-in and intercom calls. Two general-purpose inputs and one relay output tie the endpoint into third-party systems such as door hardware or alarm panels, and local line-level inputs and outputs let it reinforce local sound or push alerts into existing audio systems, with the host application held as the priority source so critical alerts always win. In Cisco UCM environments the endpoint supports publisher/subscriber SIP failover for call-processing redundancy during WAN outages. The 18-gauge metal construction with white powder coat suits commercial environments, and mounting hardware is included. Build out the rest of the system from our AtlasIED collection.

Key Features

  • LCD Display with Scrolling Text — High-resolution display shows NTP-synced time in standby and scrolling alert text when notifications are active.
  • Notification Color Profiles — Background colors sync to InformaCast and Revolution profiles for normal, warning, and emergency states.
  • ADA-Compliant LED Flasher — Visual alerting for incoming messages supports effective communication requirements under ADA Title II.
  • Integrated Talkback Microphone — Enables two-way intercom and emergency check-in from the endpoint.
  • PoE+ Speaker Amplifier — Built-in amplifier drives up to two analog 8-ohm speakers for paging and intercom audio.
  • Broad Platform Registration — Works with Singlewire InformaCast, Syn-Apps Revolution, AtlasIED applications, or directly with SIP servers.
  • Cisco UCM Failover Support — Publisher/subscriber SIP service failover maintains call processing during WAN outages.
  • Auto-Registration on Voice VLAN — Configures like a VoIP handset and shares QoS with the phone system.
  • GPIO Integration — Two general-purpose inputs and one relay output connect third-party systems.
  • Local Audio I/O with Priority — Line-level inputs and outputs integrate existing audio systems while critical alerts remain the priority source.
  • Master Clock Replacement — NTP timekeeping removes the need for a separate clock system in schools and campuses.
  • Commercial-Grade Build — 18-gauge metal construction with neutral white powder coat and included mounting screws.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which notification platforms does the IP-DMF support?
It registers directly with Singlewire InformaCast, Syn-Apps Revolution, and AtlasIED notification applications, or as a SIP device to a standard SIP server or VoIP call platform where third-party notification software is not used.

Does it need external speakers?
The endpoint includes a PoE+ powered amplifier that drives up to two analog 8-ohm speakers, so paging and intercom audio can be added without a separate amplifier.

How does it help with ADA compliance?
The LED flashers signal incoming scrolling text messages visually, supporting effective communication for individuals with hearing impairments as required of state and local governments under ADA Title II.

Will it survive a WAN outage in a Cisco environment?
Yes. The IP-DMF supports Call Manager publisher/subscriber SIP service failover, maintaining local call processing when the centralized Call Manager is unreachable.

How difficult is installation?
It mounts to the wall with included hardware and connects over a single PoE+ network cable. Auto-registration places it on the Voice VLAN like a standard VoIP handset.

Can it integrate with door hardware or alarm systems?
Yes. Two general-purpose inputs and a relay output let integrators tie the endpoint to third-party systems such as access control or alarm panels.

What warranty and support are included?
The IP-DMF carries AtlasIED's manufacturer warranty, and Creation Networks provides system design assistance for IP paging and mass notification deployments.
