The IEDA524-H is a 4-button digital microphone station for initiating audio/visual announcements, messages, and pages within GLOBALCOM and vACS Series Announcement Control Systems, built for wall-mount installation with a handheld push-to-talk microphone.

Each of the four zone-group selection buttons is configured in IED Enterprise or vACS Console software as a one-touch action — a live page, a recorded page, a permanent message playback, or any other action type available in the GLOBALCOM configuration software. A single Ethernet connection carries both audio and control data using CobraNet technology, and the station is powered directly from any standard PoE switch (IEEE 802.3af), with its onboard 32-bit processor handling button input, Ethernet communication, audio processing, and self-test diagnostics.
