The IEDA520FME is a 528 Series expansion microphone station that interfaces with a parent 528 series station, letting a user pick up and key the expansion mic to achieve the same announcement result as the parent station — no separate configuration or zone assignment needed.
How does the Atlas Sound IEDA520FME work?
Up to three expansion stations connect to a single parent station over Ethernet cable, extending microphone access to additional points in the same room or adjacent spaces without adding another full paging station. A push-to-talk button on the handheld microphone triggers the same announcement the parent station would send. The unit mounts in a standard 2-gang electrical box, or to a 528 series backbox using the optional IEDA528SKA adapter plate; the optional IEDA528SKBB backbox adds single-gang or desktop (IEDA520DTB) mounting.
