Product Overview
The Atlas Sound FC-8TPIC is the pre-wired back can component of the IsoFlare FC-8TPI two-part pre-install ceiling speaker system. Designed for first-fix installation during the electrical phase of construction, the back can is placed before the ceiling is finished, protecting the wiring infrastructure while the driver (FC-8DRV) is installed later. This staged approach eliminates the risk of damaging premium speaker components during the building construction phase. UL Listed, IP44 rated, and compatible with 70V/100V and 8-ohm operation.
Product Description
The FC-8TPIC is the back can portion of the IsoFlare FC-8TPI pre-install speaker system, used in commercial installations that require premium audio quality in a designer-friendly package. The pre-install methodology allows electrical contractors to complete rough-in wiring and mount the back can during construction, then have AV installers fit the FC-8DRV driver module at finishing stage without revisiting cable runs. The back can is pre-wired and accommodates the full-bandwidth, high-sensitivity FC-8DRV coaxial driver, which features a ferrofluid-cooled titanium HF driver with neodymium magnet, a weather-treated multi-fiber cone for accurate midrange, and a 60W low-insertion-loss 70/100V transformer with an easy-access rotary tap selector. The combined FC-8TPI system covers 44Hz–30kHz (−10dB), achieves 92dB sensitivity at 1W/1m, and delivers a 90° nominal coverage angle. Maximum SPL reaches 112dB average and 118dB peak. Enhanced voicing presets are available through the AtlasIED Atmosphere DSP platform. Warranted for 60 months from purchase.
