Product Description

The FB4-XLRF solves the cable management challenge of running microphone lines to center-stage or podium positions where overhead or wall runs are impractical. The enclosure installs flush into wood substrates typical of stage construction, with the four recessed female XLR connectors oriented at an angle (slant-loaded) for easier cable connection in tight floor-level clearances. The connectors are standard D-sub type, which means they are field-removable and replaceable—installers can substitute other D-sub format devices such as RCA, 1/4" TRS, or etherCON connectors as system needs evolve without replacing the entire floor box. A hinged steel cover plate protects the connectors and cables from foot traffic, equipment wheels, and debris when the box is not in active use. The all-black finish blends with black stage flooring and reduces visibility during performances. The FB4-XLRF can also be used in concrete pour applications when paired with the optional FB4CPB pour box accessory, expanding its use to permanent concrete stages and platforms. The enclosure measures 7.94" in height and 2-5/8" in depth, compatible with standard stage floor thicknesses. Shipping weight is 4 lbs.
