Product Description
The FAP63-TR rough-in ring is the correct pre-construction accessory for projects specifying the Atlas Sound FAP63T-W Strategy III Series in-ceiling speaker. The ring is installed to the ceiling structure prior to drywall, providing a clearly marked location that guides the drywall installer when cutting the ceiling opening. This process protects the pre-wire location throughout the construction phase and ensures the speaker opening is accurately sized for the FAP63T-W upon final installation. Mounting holes on the ring accommodate both 16" O.C. and 24" O.C. joist or stud spacing, covering the most common commercial framing configurations. The ring is manufactured to Atlas IED's BAA-compliant standards and ships with Revit family files available for BIM coordination. With a 9.188" outer diameter and a 24" overall depth, the ring is suited for standard commercial drywall ceiling assemblies. Using the FAP63-TR as part of a planned installation sequence reduces site coordination time and ensures grille and speaker components align correctly at finish-out.
