Product Overview

The Atlas Sound FAP62-TR is a new construction rough-in ring for use with the FAP62T Strategy II Series in-ceiling loudspeaker. It installs to the ceiling structure before drywall is applied, marking and preserving the speaker location throughout the construction phase. The galvanized steel ring serves as a precise cut-out guide for drywall contractors, ensuring the correct opening is maintained for final speaker installation.

Product Description

The FAP62-TR is the recommended pre-construction accessory for projects specifying the Atlas Sound FAP62T Strategy II Series in-ceiling speaker. Installing the rough-in ring before drywall allows the speaker location to be established during rough-in, eliminating the guesswork of locating pre-wire during finish-out and reducing the risk of incorrectly sized or misaligned ceiling openings. The ring is designed to accommodate both 16" O.C. and 24" O.C. joist or stud spacing, covering both standard commercial framing configurations without requiring separate hardware. A galvanized finish prevents rust during the construction period when the ceiling may be exposed to varying conditions. The 11" outer diameter and 24" depth suit the FAP62T's installation requirements. Mounting holes are provided to secure the ring firmly to the ceiling structure, and the ring profile acts as a pattern template for the drywall installer to cut around. Using the FAP62-TR as part of a planned installation sequence helps coordinate pre-wire, drywall, and final audio installation teams, reducing call-backs and rework on commercial projects.
