The Atlas Sound FAP43-TR is a new construction rough-in ring designed for use with the FAP43T-W Strategy III Series in-ceiling loudspeaker. It is installed to the ceiling structure before drywall, marking and reserving the speaker location so drywall contractors have a precise cut-out guide throughout the construction phase. The FAP43-TR supports both 16" and 24" on-center stud and joist spacing, covering standard commercial framing configurations.
Product Description
The FAP43-TR is the correct pre-construction accessory for projects specifying the Atlas Sound FAP43T-W in-ceiling speaker. Installed before drywall is placed on the ceiling, the ring establishes and locks in the speaker location early in the construction sequence, preventing misaligned or incorrectly sized openings at finish-out. The ring body marks the perimeter of the ceiling opening, giving the drywall contractor a clear guide to cut around. Mounting holes are provided for attachment to 16" O.C. or 24" O.C. joists or studs, accommodating the framing intervals found in most commercial new construction. The 9" diameter and 24" depth are sized for the FAP43T-W's installation envelope. The FAP43-TR carries BAA compliance for projects with Buy American Act requirements. Revit family files for the FAP43T series (v2023) are available to support BIM coordination. Using this rough-in ring as part of the installation workflow aligns the pre-wire, drywall, and finish-out crews and reduces site coordination issues on commercial audio projects.
