Installed to the ceiling framing before drywall is applied, it marks and reserves the speaker location, serving as a precise cut-out guide for drywall contractors throughout the construction phase. The ring supports both 16" and 24" on-center stud and joist spacing to accommodate standard commercial ceiling framing.
Product Description
The FAP33-TR is the correct pre-construction accessory for projects specifying the Atlas Sound FAP33T-W in-ceiling speaker. The ring is secured to ceiling framing joists or studs before drywall installation, locking in the speaker location early in the construction sequence and eliminating the need to locate pre-wire from scratch at finish-out. The ring perimeter gives the drywall installer a clearly defined cut-out guide, reducing the risk of incorrectly sized or off-center ceiling openings. Mounting holes accommodate both 16" O.C. and 24" O.C. framing, covering the most common commercial construction framing intervals. The 9" outer diameter and 24" depth match the FAP33T-W installation requirements. Like other FAP-TR series rings, the FAP33-TR carries BAA compliance for government and institutional projects with Buy American Act requirements, and Revit family files for the FAP33T series (v2023) are available for BIM integration.
