Product Description

The FA63T-8MB contains the complete 6-inch speaker, transformer, tap selector switch, and front plate assembly found in the FAP63T package, presented as a separate motorboard component for phased installations. Its 8.5-inch diameter footprint matches the FA138 series 8-inch speaker components, allowing the motorboard to fit into FA97-8 and FA95-8 Strategy Series back boxes without any modification. The tuned port on the motorboard assembly is matched to these enclosures to maximize bass extension from the 6-inch driver. The 32-watt transformer at 70.7V/100V uses a low-insertion-loss design to maintain low-frequency response at all power tap settings, a key advantage over commodity transformers in distributed audio applications. A front-mounted tap selector switch provides six settings including 2W, 4W, 8W, 16W, 32W, and an 8-ohm direct-coupled bypass, giving installers the flexibility to set each speaker independently for zone balancing without ceiling access after initial installation.
