Product Description

The FA136T47 is part of Atlas Sound's Strategy I Series and is engineered as a complete coaxial in-ceiling speaker system for 70V distributed audio installations. The 6" woofer cone is constructed from Kevlar fiber-reinforced polypropylene with a Norsorex synthetic rubber surround that provides structural integrity, effective damping, and weather resistance for installations in humid environments. A post-mounted dome tweeter with a mylar diaphragm and ferro fluid-cooled voice coil delivers smooth high-frequency response and capable power handling, reducing the risk of thermal distortion at higher volume levels. The coaxial design places the tweeter at the acoustic center of the woofer, producing 130° wide-angle dispersion that provides even coverage with fewer speakers than conventional systems require. The integrated 70V transformer includes power taps at 0.5, 1, 2, and 4 watts to allow precise volume level management across distributed zones. The FA136T47 is factory-engineered as a system with a matched acoustic enclosure, making it compatible with Atlas Sound transformer, tile bridge, plaster ring, and hardware-free grille accessories.
