The Atlas Sound FA-TR4 is a new construction trim ring and rough-in bracket for AtlasIED FAP40T and 4-inch Strategy Series in-ceiling speakers. It installs prior to drywall, serving as a pattern cutout guide for drywall contractors and pre-identifying speaker wire locations. The FA-TR4 is BAA/TAA compliant, making it suitable for government and federally funded projects requiring domestic product sourcing.
Product Description
The FA-TR4 simplifies the new construction phase of commercial AV installations by establishing speaker locations before drywall is hung. Once installed, it acts as a precision template that guides the drywall contractor to leave the correct opening for a FA97-4 or FA95-4 enclosure. The 25 5/8" length accommodates stud layouts on both 16-inch and 24-inch center spacing, eliminating the need for custom framing modifications. Built from 20-gauge galvanized steel, the FA-TR4 is rigid enough to hold position through the construction process without deforming. It accepts drywall thicknesses ranging from 3/8" to 1 1/4", covering standard and thick drywall applications. This bracket identifies and protects pre-wire locations, reducing rework and speeding up sound system installation at the rough-in stage. Note that the trim ring alone does not permit direct grille attachment—an enclosure such as the FA97-4 or a FAPR plaster ring is required for grille installation.
