The Atlas Sound F-1 is an infrared (IR) flasher designed for use with Xantech and compatible IR repeater systems in commercial AV installations. The F-1 ships with an adhesive backing for surface mounting directly onto the IR receiver window of any controlled component. The F-1 infrared flasher is the output emitter in an IR repeater system, translating electrical control signals back into infrared pulses that an A/V component's receiver can interpret. Each unit attaches directly to the IR sensor window of the target device using the included adhesive backing, providing reliable signal transfer without alignment concerns. Connection to the repeater system is made via a 1/8" (3.5mm) mini plug, compatible with the Atlas Sound M-1A repeater and similar distribution hardware. Up to four F-1 flashers can be connected to a single M-1A repeater using two M-1CB4B four-port connector blocks or equivalent adapters. In cases where an A/V component has a hardwired IR input port, the F-1 would not be required, as the control signal can be wired directly. The surface-mount style and 0.05 mA current draw make the F-1 unobtrusive and easy to integrate into any rack or cabinet IR distribution setup.
