The Atlas Sound EQ81 is a heavy-duty T-bar tile bridge designed for use with AtlasIED 96-8 series flanged enclosures in suspended ceiling installations. Fabricated from 20-gauge steel with a round 8" cutout, the EQ81 spans standard 24" T-bar ceiling grid to support in-ceiling speaker enclosures where direct ceiling tile mounting is not feasible. It is BAA and TAA compliant for domestic and government projects.
Product Description
The EQ81 T-bar bridge provides a stable mounting platform for AtlasIED 96-8 series enclosures in suspended ceiling environments. The unit bridges across standard commercial T-bar ceiling grid, distributing the load of the enclosure and speaker assembly across the grid rather than relying on ceiling tile alone. The 20-gauge steel construction provides the rigidity required to support speaker enclosures in continuous commercial use without deflection over time. The round 8" hole pattern accommodates the 96-8 series enclosures and the companion EQ818-BX back box, allowing the installer to complete a flanged in-ceiling installation with proper mechanical support. This tile bridge is a specified accessory in many commercial AV installation designs where suspended ceilings are used in schools, offices, hotels, and healthcare facilities. BAA and TAA compliance documentation is available. A 60-month warranty covers the product for long-term installations.
