Product Overview
The Atlas Sound ECM-20 is a 20-amp AC power conditioner and spike suppressor designed for standalone operation or use alongside an ECS series sequence controller up to 1,000 feet away. It provides clamping spike and surge suppression, AC mains voltage monitoring, EVS circuitry, radio frequency interference filtering, and remote activation capability in a compact form factor. The ECM-20 is UL Listed, cUL, ETL, and cETL certified, and is intended for protecting AV equipment in rack installations, broadcast environments, and commercial AV systems.
Product Description
The ECM-20 protects connected AV equipment from voltage spikes, surges, and electrical noise that can degrade performance or cause premature component failure. Operating on 120V/60Hz mains at 102–132VAC, the unit clamps spike voltages starting at 460 VRMS at 3,000A and handles peak transients up to 6,000V, well above the thresholds that damage typical AV electronics. The onboard EVS (Enhanced Voltage Sensing) circuitry monitors AC mains voltage continuously and responds to out-of-range conditions. Radio frequency and electromagnetic interference (RFI/EMI) filtering reduces noise coupling that can introduce artifacts into audio or video signal chains. Two 20A outlets are provided, with manual/auto on/off switching for controlled power sequencing. An incoming AC present LED and an active LED give technicians immediate visual confirmation of power and operational status at a glance. The ECM-20 is designed to mount inside the Atlas Sound ECM-RACEWY6 raceway for clean, organized installation of multiple outlets directly fed from the electrical panel. It can also operate as a standalone conditioner or in a distributed system topology paired with an ECS sequence controller located up to 1,000 feet away via signal wiring. Power consumption of the unit itself is only 0.5 watts. The compact enclosure (8.5" W x 3.0" H x 3.5" D) fits in a variety of rack and custom enclosure configurations. Backed by a 12-month warranty.
