Product Description
The E408-250 addresses the need for precision level adjustment in 70.7V audio systems where coarse volume steps are inadequate—particularly in sound masking applications where consistent signal levels directly affect system performance. The 1.5 dB step increment across ten positions provides 15 dB of total attenuation range, giving system integrators granular control over zone levels without the signal coloration of transformer-coupled alternatives. The non-shorting rotary switch design prevents signal interruption during adjustment, which is important in active systems. Constructed with a stainless steel plate and standard 2-gang footprint, the E408-250 installs in any standard 2-gang electrical box. It is UL 813 and UL 2043 listed, qualifying it for use in air-handling (plenum) spaces. For rack-mounted applications, the companion model E408-250-RM is available.
