Product Overview

The Atlas Sound DPA1202 is a 1200-watt networkable multi-channel power amplifier designed for commercial audio installations that need high output and flexible channel configuration in a single rack unit. This DSP-controlled amplifier supports three amplification arrangements — two-channel 70.7V/100V distributed audio, four-channel 4-ohm or 8-ohm low-impedance operation, or a mixed-mode split for combined paging and foreground stereo. An accessory slot accepts an optional DPA-DAC4 Dante network audio receiver card for audio-over-IP system integration. It ships factory preconfigured in two-channel 70V mode, ready for immediate deployment.

Product Description

For AV integrators and system designers, the DPA1202 consolidates what would otherwise require multiple amplifiers. Configured as a two-channel constant-voltage amplifier, it delivers 600 watts per channel at 70.7V or 100V for large paging and background music zones. Switched to four-channel mode, it provides 300 watts per channel at 4 ohms or 150 watts at 8 ohms for foreground music and speech reinforcement. The mixed configuration assigns one 600-watt 70.7V/100V channel to a paging or background system while two 4-ohm/8-ohm channels handle stereo program audio — a common requirement in restaurants, retail, and commercial meeting spaces.

Atlas Sound DPA1202 1200-watt networkable multi-channel power amplifier

The amplifier includes four balanced line inputs, expandable to eight through the accessory card slot, which accepts either the DPA-DAC4 four-channel Dante receiver card or the DPA-AMIX card with two mic/line and two AUX inputs. All inputs can be mixed and routed to any amplifier channel. Each channel includes DSP processing — level control, EQ, limiters, high and low pass filters, and delay — accessed through a browser-based GUI on a PC, tablet, or mobile device, with password protection for system security. The included DPA Site Manager software automatically discovers every DPA amplifier on the network and provides fault reporting, input and output status, standby status, and scheduler-based remote activation, giving IT and facilities managers centralized commercial amplifier monitoring. Mute functions trigger via audio signal or contact closure, and audio-sense turn-on/off reduces idle power draw. Pair it with speakers and accessories from our AtlasIED collection.

Key Features

  • Three Configurable Amplifier Modes — Operates as a 2-channel 70.7V amplifier, a 4-channel 4-ohm amplifier, or a single-channel 70.7V plus 2-channel 4-ohm hybrid to match the installation design.
  • 1200 Watts Total Output — Delivers 2 x 600W at 70.7V/100V or 4 x 300W at 4 ohms for large-scale distributed and foreground audio systems.
  • Optional Dante Network Audio — The accessory slot accepts a DPA-DAC4 four-channel Dante receiver card for direct audio-over-IP integration.
  • Configurable DSP via Onboard GUI — EQ, limiters, filters, delay, and level control are managed from any web browser on PC, iOS, or Android with password protection.
  • DPA Site Manager Software — Network auto-discovery, fault reporting, I/O status, standby status, and scheduled remote activation support multi-amplifier fleet management.
  • Expandable Inputs — Four balanced inputs grow to eight with the optional Dante or mic/line/AUX accessory card, all routable to any channel.
  • Assignable Mute and User Control — Mute triggers via audio signal or contact closure, with a user page for assignable input and output level control.
  • Audio Sense Turn-On/Off — Automatic standby reduces energy consumption during periods of no program activity.

Typical Applications

  • Auditorium and all-hands room sound reinforcement
  • House of worship main and zone audio systems
  • Government space and commercial meeting space paging
  • Multi-purpose room and training room AV installation
  • Conference room and boardroom program audio

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Dante included with the DPA1202?
No. Dante is an optional add-on — the accessory slot accepts the DPA-DAC4 four-channel Dante receiver card, bringing total inputs to eight.

Can one DPA1202 handle both paging and stereo music zones?
Yes. It can be configured with one 600W channel at 70.7V/100V for paging or background music plus two 300W channels at 4 ohms for foreground stereo.

What software is needed to configure the amplifier?
None beyond a web browser. The onboard GUI works from a PC, tablet, or mobile device, and the included DPA Site Manager software handles network discovery and monitoring across multiple amplifiers.

How does the DPA1202 differ from the DPA804?
The DPA1202 provides higher per-channel output — up to 600W per channel at 70.7V versus 200W on the DPA804 — making it the better fit for larger rooms and longer 70V speaker runs.

Does it fit a standard equipment rack?
Yes. The DPA1202 occupies one rack unit (1.75 inches) in a standard 19-inch rack with a 14.5-inch depth.

What is the warranty, and who do I contact for support?
AtlasIED warrants the DPA1202 for 36 months from the date of purchase. Creation Networks is an authorized dealer — contact us for system design assistance, integration support, and project pricing.
