Product Description

The CR222TRK is a purpose-designed accessory for the Atlas Sound CR222 family of 2'x2' ceiling-mount rack systems, including the CR222, CR222P, CR222-NR, and CR222P-NR models. Standard CR222 installations rest in or attach to a suspended ceiling grid; the CR222TRK provides a supplemental or alternative support method by connecting the enclosure directly to the building structure via threaded rod. The kit includes two steel brackets, each with holes sized and positioned to receive threaded rod and nuts. Installers run threaded rod from the overhead structure down through the bracket holes, securing the CR enclosure at the desired height with nuts above and below the bracket. This method distributes the load of the rack enclosure—and its equipment—to the structural ceiling rather than the tile grid, which is critical when the combined weight of the rack and AV equipment approaches or exceeds grid capacity. The CR222TRK is also useful in open-plenum or exposed ceiling environments where grid-based support is not available. Compatibility is confirmed with all four CR222 variants.
