The AtlasIED CR222-NR is a plenum-rated ceiling-mount equipment rack that conceals AV electronics above a standard 2' x 2' suspended ceiling grid. Built for classroom and conference room AV installations, it pairs a 2RU standard-width AmbiTILT shelf with an integrated UL-listed AC power pack, putting switchers, amplifiers, and control processors directly above the projector or display they serve. The open-frame access door accepts a ceiling tile insert so the entire rack disappears into the ceiling plane. This model ships without the projector pole adapter for installations that do not require one.

Product Description

The CR222-NR plenum rack mounts AV equipment securely in the ceiling plenum inside a sealed, UL plenum-rated cabinet, freeing wall and credenza space in commercial meeting spaces. The hinged access door uses an open-frame design: the installer drops a ceiling tile cut-out into the frame, held by retainer tabs, so the rack blends into the reflected ceiling grid. Two retention thumb screws release the door, and attached safety cables protect against injury during service.

The AmbiTILT shelf mechanism is the standout for integrators who service ceiling AV equipment after commissioning. Quick-release cane bolts let the shelf tilt down from the front for loading, tilt down from the rear for access to rear-panel connectors, or release entirely from both ends and the safety cables for full shelf removal. The shelf provides universal mounting holes for bolting or tying down devices, and the optional CR222RR rack rail kit adds true 19-inch 2RU rack mounting.

The integrated UL-listed power pack supplies five 15 A Edison outlets: four inside the cabinet for rack-mounted gear and one facing down and exposed when the door is shut, ideal for powering a data projector below.
