Product Description

The C803AT167 combines the proven C803A coaxial driver with a 70.7V 16W transformer offering three power taps (4, 8, and 16 watts) for flexible zone-level management in 70V distributed systems. The 8" (203 mm) diameter low-frequency reproducer uses a treated paper cone with a 10 oz. (260g) ceramic magnet for balanced, full-range bass. The 3" (76 mm) high-frequency reproducer uses a 2.35 oz. (67g) ceramic magnet and is post-mounted, which adds structural strength to the assembly and provides a cleaner aesthetic appearance compared to horn-loaded or surface-mounted tweeters. The two drivers are coupled via a built-in passive crossover network, eliminating the need for external crossover components. The C803AT167 covers 40 Hz to 15.5 kHz, providing full-range background music performance and clear voice intelligibility for paging. The 120° dispersion pattern allows for wider speaker spacing while maintaining even coverage, reducing fixture count in large open-plan ceilings. Peak sensitivity of 98 dB (at 1W/1m) and 95 dB average give the unit high output efficiency relative to its power rating, reducing amplifier load requirements. The unit mounts to AtlasIED baffles and enclosures; the optimum sealed enclosure volume is 0.36 cu. ft. Optional HydroPhobic protective coating is available for installations in high-humidity or splash-prone environments such as natatoriums and commercial kitchens. UL Safety Listed to 1480.
