The included cork gasket creates a weather-resistant seal at the cable entry point, making the BX-2A appropriate for both interior and exterior horn speaker installations. It is BAA and TAA compliant for government and public-sector projects.

Product Description

The BX-2A replaces the standard cable knockout on AP-15 series horn speakers with a threaded conduit adapter that accepts 1/2-inch pipe thread conduit fittings or armored cable connectors. This is essential in installations where exposed wiring is not permitted, such as outdoor industrial facilities, parking structures, correctional facilities, and other environments requiring conduit wiring methods. The cast aluminum construction is durable against vandalism and resistant to corrosion in outdoor environments. The 1/2-inch pipe thread is the standard size for EMT and rigid conduit fittings used throughout commercial electrical and AV wiring systems. The cork gasket included with the BX-2A seals the conduit connection against moisture and dust infiltration at the horn speaker housing. Compatible horn models include the AP-15, AP-15T, and APW-15T, which are widely used in 70-volt distributed audio paging and mass notification systems. The 12-month warranty covers manufacturing defects in the casting and threading. The BX-2A ships with the gasket already provided, requiring no additional hardware for standard 1/2-inch conduit connection.
