Product Overview
The AtlasIED BB-1616DT is a 16 input x 16 output networkable Dante DSP audio processor from the BlueBridge family, built for video conferencing, multi-zone paging, and room combining in demanding commercial installations. As an open-architecture DSP for conference room audio integration, it pairs 16 channels of mic/line analog I/O with 16 channels of plug-and-play Dante digital audio over Ethernet. System designers specifying a commercial audio DSP processor for boardrooms, courtrooms, houses of worship, and presentation spaces get drag-and-drop programmability with mission-critical signal quality.
Product Description
The BB-1616DT provides 16 software-selectable microphone or line inputs and 16 line outputs on Phoenix-style connectors, with high-quality THAT Corporation microphone preamps and 24-bit converters delivering an ultra-low noise floor and 110 dB dynamic range. Its 48 kHz, 40-bit floating point DSP engine prevents the digital clipping common in fixed-point processors and provides the headroom to run advanced algorithms in complex system designs, with total latency of just 3 ms.

Dante integration gives the BB-1616DT 16 channels of self-configuring digital audio over standard Ethernet, so it drops into new or existing Dante networks alongside amplifiers, paging stations, and other endpoints without dedicated audio cabling. Open-architecture, drag-and-drop BlueBridge Designer software gives integrators a deep processing library: gain-sharing and gating auto-mixers, matrix mixers, parametric, graphic, and anti-feedback EQ, Butterworth, Linkwitz-Riley, and Bessel crossovers with 6 to 48 dB per octave slopes, compressors, expanders, limiters, duckers, delays, and signal generators. Four logic inputs/outputs support contact-closure integration with fire alarm, control, and room systems.

Atlas BluePanel software lets designers build custom control interfaces accessible from networked computers, and it programs wall controllers such as the BB-TOUCH7 touch panel so end users can adjust volume, select sources, or combine rooms without direct access to the processor, protecting the system configuration from unauthorized changes. Each BlueBridge processor is auto-recognized on the network for TCP/IP control, and AtlasIED offers pre-configured design templates through its BlueBridge training program. The unit is safety listed to UL60065 and installs in a single 19-inch rack space. Pair it with paging stations, amplifiers, and loudspeakers from our AtlasIED collection for a complete commercial AV installation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the BB-1616DT work with my existing Dante network?
Yes. It integrates into new or existing Dante networks and provides 16 channels of self-configuring, plug-and-play digital audio over standard Ethernet infrastructure.
What software is used to program it?
BlueBridge Designer II (Windows and macOS) provides open-architecture, drag-and-drop configuration, while Atlas BluePanel builds custom end-user control interfaces and programs wall controllers such as the BB-TOUCH7.
Can end users adjust the system without accessing the DSP?
Yes. BluePanel interfaces and programmed wall controllers give users volume control, source selection, and room combining functions while preventing unauthorized changes to the processor configuration.
Does it require a special network to operate?
BlueBridge units operate on standard networks and only need a network connection during setup or when control is required. Optional control accessories require a PoE switch.
Is phantom power available for condenser microphones?
Yes. 48 V phantom power is software enabled per input, and each of the 16 inputs is software selectable between mic and line level.
What rack space does it occupy?
The BB-1616DT is a 1RU, 19-inch rack-mount unit, 9 inches deep, weighing 7.2 lbs, with 18.5 W power consumption.
What warranty and support are included?
AtlasIED covers the BB-1616DT with a 36-month limited warranty, and Creation Networks provides system design assistance and post-sale support for commercial AV integrators.
