The Atlas Sound B2237 is a 37" adjustable boom arm from the Platinum Design Series, engineered for use with Atlas Sound T3664 or T1930 tripod mic stands. It adjusts from 22" to 37" in length and features a 0.5 lb cast counterweight to maintain balance when extended with heavier microphones. The non-reflective ebony finish makes it appropriate for stage, studio, and video production environments where chrome reflections are undesirable.
Product Description
The B2237 is designed to serve high-demand live and studio performance environments where microphone stand failures are not acceptable. The boom arm attaches to compatible Atlas Sound Platinum Design Series tripod stands (T3664 or T1930) at the swivel joint, which incorporates friction notches to prevent the arm from sagging under the weight of a microphone. This feature is particularly important when using heavier condenser microphones or shock mounts that put consistent downward load on the boom. The cast 0.5 lb counterweight allows the boom to be properly balanced when extended, reducing stress on the swivel joint and maintaining the microphone in its intended position throughout a performance or recording session. The boom adjusts from 22" to 37", providing a wide range of positioning options to place the microphone precisely in front of a source at any angle. The ebony finish on the tubing eliminates stage light reflections that can be visible in video or broadcast footage. Complete kit configurations are also available—the TB3664 bundle includes one B2237 and one T3664 stand, while the TB1930 bundle includes one B2237 and one T1930 stand. The B2237 is sold as a boom-only accessory for installers who already have compatible Atlas Sound tripod stands.
