Product Overview

The Atlas Sound AZA804 is an 800-watt networkable 4-channel power amplifier engineered to pair with the AtlasIED Atmosphere platform, including the AZM4 and AZM8 zone audio processors. Channel pairs are configurable for 4-ohm, 8-ohm, 70V, or 100V speaker loads, delivering up to 200 watts per channel for commercial audio installation across retail, hospitality, education, and office environments. The amplifier works out of the box in four-channel 70V mode with no configuration or network connection required, which shortens commissioning time on Atmosphere zone audio system deployments.

Product Description

For integrators building multi-zone commercial sound systems on the Atmosphere platform, the AZA804 is the matching amplification stage. It connects directly behind an AZM series processor to power paging zones, background music zones, and foreground speakers from a single 1RU chassis. Because channel pairs can be set independently to low impedance (4-ohm/8-ohm) or constant voltage (70V/100V) operation, one AZA804 can drive both a distributed ceiling speaker line and low-impedance pendant or surface speakers in the same project, reducing amplifier count and rack space in the AV head-end.

Atlas Sound AZA804 800-watt networkable 4-channel power amplifier

The AZA804 provides four balanced inputs and an onboard web interface for changing output modes, monitoring, and additional processing — accessible over Ethernet, which gives IT and facilities managers remote visibility into amplifier status without visiting the rack. An accessory card slot accepts the optional DPA-DAC4 four-channel Dante receiver for audio-over-IP integration in networked AV systems. The Class AB switching hybrid (BASH) topology delivers 4 x 200W at 70.7V or 100V, 4 x 150W at 8 ohms, or 4 x 100W at 4 ohms, with mixed-mode operation available across channel pairs. Fan-assisted convection cooling keeps the amplifier within operating temperature in enclosed equipment racks, and rack-mounting accessories are included. Find Atmosphere processors, speakers, and accessories in our AtlasIED collection.

Key Features

  • Built for AtlasIED Atmosphere — Designed to interface directly with AZM4 and AZM8 zone audio processors for complete multi-zone commercial audio systems.
  • Multi-Impedance Channel Pairs — 70V, 100V, 8-ohm, or 4-ohm operation is configurable in channel pairs to drive distributed and foreground speakers from one amplifier.
  • Up to 200W Per Channel — Delivers 4 x 200W at 70.7V/100V, 4 x 150W at 8 ohms, or 4 x 100W at 4 ohms from a single 1RU chassis.
  • Onboard Web UI — Output modes, monitoring, and processing are managed through a browser-based interface over the network for remote administration.
  • Optional Dante Card Slot — Accepts the DPA-DAC4 four-channel Dante receiver card for audio-over-IP system integration.
  • Zero-Configuration Startup — Ships ready to run in four-channel 70V mode with no programming or network connection required.
  • Four Balanced Inputs — Professional balanced inputs simplify clean interconnection with Atmosphere processors and other commercial sources.
  • Fan-Assisted Convection Cooling — Maintains safe operating temperature in enclosed racks, with rack-mounting accessories included.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an Atmosphere processor to use the AZA804?
No, but it is designed for that ecosystem. It works out of the box as a standalone four-channel 70V amplifier, and pairs directly with AZM4 or AZM8 processors for full multi-zone control.

How does the AZA804 differ from the DPA804?
Both are 800W four-channel networkable amplifiers; the AZA804 belongs to the Atmosphere (AZA) family and is optimized to pair with AZM zone processors, while the DPA804 carries the DPA Series onboard DSP toolset and Site Manager workflow.

Can it drive 70V and 8-ohm speakers at the same time?
Yes. Output impedance is configured in channel pairs, so two channels can run a 70.7V/100V distributed line while the other pair drives 8-ohm or 4-ohm speakers.

Is Dante supported?
Optionally. The accessory card slot accepts the DPA-DAC4 four-channel Dante receiver card for audio-over-IP input alongside the four balanced analog inputs.

How is the amplifier monitored remotely?
The onboard web UI is reachable over Ethernet for output mode changes, monitoring, and processing — useful for IT teams managing networked AV equipment across a facility.

What warranty applies and is rack hardware included?
AtlasIED warrants the AZA804 for 36 months from the date of purchase, and rack-mounting accessories ship in the box. Creation Networks is an authorized dealer — contact us for Atmosphere system design help and project pricing.
