The Atlas Sound AT100-RM is a 100-watt, 70.7V rack-mount attenuator designed for installation in AV equipment racks, cabinets, and consoles where centralized volume control of distributed speaker zones is required. It provides 27dB of total attenuation in 3dB increments, offering precise level management for commercial paging and background music systems. Up to six AT100-RM units can be mounted on the optional Atlas ATPLATE-052 rack plate, enabling multi-zone control in a single rack space.
Product Description
The AT100-RM is the rack-mount variant of the Atlas Sound AT series commercial attenuator line, purpose-built for 70.7V distributed audio systems. Unlike wall-plate attenuators, the AT100-RM is configured for panel mounting inside equipment racks, consoles, and AV cabinets, centralizing volume control for zones that may not have accessible wall locations. The unit ships without a mounting plate, instead including an attractive matte black polycarbonate dial scale overlay with adhesive backing and a skirted black knob for a clean finish when installed in a rack panel cutout. The overlay measures 29mm square for a compact footprint on the panel. The AT100-RM delivers 100W power handling on 25V or 70V distributed systems, and its 27dB total attenuation range in 3dB steps provides enough range for most zone-level balancing tasks. Safety listings include UL 813 and UL 2043, making it appropriate for plenum-adjacent installations where fire rating is a consideration. The AT100-RM is compatible with the HX23 dial scale overlay for retrofitting existing installations. CAD drawings are available for rack panel layout planning.
