Product Description
The AP-15TUC's double re-entrant driver delivers 15 watts of continuous power handling with a sensitivity of 106 dB (1W/1m), providing audible coverage at distances required in large open areas. Frequency response of 400 Hz to 14 kHz emphasizes the speech intelligibility range, making voice announcements clear even in high-ambient-noise environments. The built-in Vari-Tap transformer provides selectable power taps at 1, 2, 3.8, 7.5, and 15 watts, allowing system designers to balance coverage and amplifier load. A 5 mfd line supervision capacitor is integral to the design, supporting supervised circuit requirements in fire alarm and emergency notification systems. The Omni-Purpose mounting bracket supports standard surface installations as well as strap-mounting to I-beams and structural pillars, enabling flexible placement in industrial and outdoor settings. The trademarked squared-bell horn design is constructed of weather-resistant metal and ABS plastic, finished in grey epoxy, and rated IP55. All AP Series units are manufactured in the United States and carry a 5-year warranty.
