Product Overview
The AtlasIED AA120G is a 120-watt, six-input mixer amplifier built for distributed paging and background music systems in commercial facilities. With 25V, 70.7V, 100V, and 8-ohm outputs in a single 1RU chassis, it handles constant-voltage speaker lines and low-impedance loads from one unit, simplifying commercial paging system installation. It also serves small to medium sound masking systems and applications that combine music on hold with overhead paging. For integrators and contractors, the AA120G packs room-combining, muting, and remote level control into a single mixer amplifier without external processing hardware.
Product Description

The AA120G accepts a wide range of sources through four microphone/line inputs — each with individually switchable phantom power — plus two stereo summing aux inputs for paging microphones, media players, and digital music receivers. VOX (voice-operated mute) and contact-closure muting let paging announcements automatically duck background music, a core requirement in any 70V amplifier for business audio deployment. A distinctive Bridge In/Out circuit with balanced link and internal relay allows multiple AA120G amplifiers to be combined for ballroom and divisible-room applications without external relays or third-party room-combining electronics. Pre Out / Power Amp In jacks provide an insert point for patching external processors such as equalizers or feedback suppressors into the signal chain. VCA remote level control circuitry can be assigned to the background music input alone or globally to the entire amplifier, enabling wall-plate volume control in restaurant and retail audio system installations. A dedicated low-cut filter, 6 dB per octave at 400 Hz, bypasses the front-panel bass control so the amplifier can safely drive paging horns such as the AtlasIED APX40TN and AP-15T. A Zone 2 music-on-hold output derived from the Channel 6 line source feeds a phone system MOH input from the same chassis. Output power pairs well with AtlasIED FAP, SM, SD, and GD Series loudspeakers, and the unit is UL 60065 listed with 100–240V supply compatibility for worldwide deployment.

Key Features
- 120-Watt, Six-Input Design — One chassis mixes four mic/line sources and two stereo aux sources while driving a full distributed speaker line.
- Multi-Impedance Outputs — 25V, 70.7V, 100V, and 8-ohm taps cover constant-voltage paging zones and low-impedance speakers without a separate amplifier.
- Switchable Phantom Power — Phantom power is selectable per microphone input for condenser paging mics.
- Bridge In/Out Room Combining — Balanced link with internal relay combines multiple amplifiers for ballroom and divisible-room systems with no external electronics.
- VOX and Contact-Closure Muting — Pages automatically override background music via voice-activated or hard-wired triggers.
- Pre Out / Power Amp In — Insert point patches external DSP, EQ, or feedback control into the amplifier signal path.
- VCA Remote Level Control — Assignable to the BGM input or the full amplifier for remote wall-plate volume adjustment.
- Paging Horn Low-Cut Filter — A 6 dB/octave filter at 400 Hz bypasses the bass control to protect horns like the APX40TN and AP-15T.
- Zone 2 MOH Output — Feeds telephone music-on-hold from the Channel 6 line source while paging continues on the main zone.
- UL 60065 Listed, 100–240V — Safety certified with universal voltage compatibility for commercial installation worldwide.
Typical Applications
- Commercial meeting spaces with paging plus background music
- Multi-purpose rooms and divisible spaces using Bridge In/Out room combining
- Houses of worship needing simple mixed-source amplification for overflow and lobby zones
- Government spaces requiring UL-listed distributed paging
- Training rooms with a microphone plus program audio source

Frequently Asked Questions
Which speakers pair with the AA120G?
The output power matches well with AtlasIED FAP, SM, SD, and GD Series loudspeakers, and the 25V/70.7V/100V/8-ohm outputs cover both constant-voltage ceiling speaker runs and low-impedance loads.
Can it drive paging horns?
Yes. A dedicated low-cut filter (6 dB/octave at 400 Hz) bypasses the front-panel bass control so the amplifier can safely drive paging horns such as the APX40TN and AP-15T.
How does room combining work?
The Bridge In/Out circuit uses a balanced link and internal relay to combine multiple AA120G amplifiers for ballroom or divisible-room applications, eliminating external relays and combining hardware.
Does paging mute the background music automatically?
Yes. VOX (voice-operated mute) or contact-closure muting ducks the music whenever a page is made.
Can I add external processing?
Yes. The Pre Out / Power Amp In connections let you insert an external equalizer, DSP, or feedback suppressor between the mixer and amplifier stages.
Is it rack mountable?
The AA120G is a 1RU-height unit; the rack mount kit is sold separately.
What is the warranty?
AtlasIED warrants the AA120G for 36 months from date of purchase. Creation Networks supports your AV system integration before and after the sale.
