The Atlas Sound A-XLR-US is a remote XLR mic/line input accessory for the AtlasIED Atmosphere AZM audio DSP processor, expanding the number of analog audio inputs available to the system without requiring a separate audio interface. The A-XLR-US connects via the Atmosphere accessory bus and is automatically detected and configured by the AZM host processor, which dynamically assigns EQ, dynamics, auto gain control, and phantom power settings to the input. It is the right solution for distributed commercial audio systems where additional analog source points are needed beyond the AZM's onboard inputs.

Product Description

The A-XLR-US functions identically to the on-board mic/line inputs of the AtlasIED AZM Atmosphere processor, providing a balanced XLR input at any remote location connected to the accessory bus. The Atmosphere accessory bus supports up to 8 devices per accessory port and reliably carries both audio and control data over cable runs up to 1,000 feet per port, enabling flexible placement of mic/line inputs throughout a facility. Up to one audio input accessory can be connected per accessory port. The AZM processor automatically detects the A-XLR-US when connected and dynamically assigns appropriate audio processing including EQ curves, dynamics processing, auto gain control, and +48V phantom power for condenser microphones. Phantom power is software-configurable, allowing the system operator to enable or disable it per input without physically modifying the connection. A signal presence indicator LED on the unit confirms active audio signal at the XLR connector. The A-XLR-US uses a Neutrik-brand locking XLR connector, providing secure cable connection that resists accidental disconnection in active installations. Digital audio is returned from the remote unit to the AZM host processor over the accessory bus, maintaining signal quality over long cable runs. The unit is finished in white and is designed for clean, professional surface or wall installation near audio source points.
