Product Description
The Atlas Sound 62-8 is a one-piece, 24-gauge cold-rolled steel baffle designed to accept standard 8-inch (203mm) loudspeakers via concealed mounting studs. The concealed stud design provides a clean finished ceiling appearance without exposed fasteners. Its textured white epoxy finish blends with standard ceiling tile in commercial environments, making it suitable for offices, schools, houses of worship, and retail spaces. The 62-8 is compatible with companion enclosures and mounting rings for installations both with and without a T-bar tile bridge, offering flexibility for varied ceiling conditions. One-piece CRS construction eliminates vibration and rattle that can occur with multi-piece assemblies. The baffle carries a UL 1480 safety listing for use in fire-rated assemblies when paired with appropriate back boxes. Optional hydrophobic coating is available for installations in high-humidity environments. BAA and TAA compliant versions are suitable for government and federally funded projects. The 62-8 ships with a 60-month warranty.
