The Atlas Sound 51-8 is an 8" economical steel baffle designed for professional and cost-efficient installation of 8" (203mm) loudspeakers in commercial audio systems. Constructed of one-piece cold-rolled steel with an attractive white finish, the 51-8 provides a clean, vibration-free mounting solution compatible with a wide range of enclosures and mounting rings. It carries a UL 1480 safety listing for added assurance in commercial AV deployments.
Product Description
The Atlas Sound 51-8 Economical Steel Baffle offers AV integrators a reliable, low-cost solution for mounting 8" speakers in ceiling or enclosure applications. The one-piece CRS construction eliminates the flex points that can cause unwanted vibration and rattle over time, keeping speaker performance consistent and installation solid. The white powder finish gives a clean, finished appearance appropriate for commercial environments including offices, retail spaces, and educational facilities. Speaker hardware mounts directly to the baffle using standard speaker mounting screws, keeping installation straightforward. The 12 3/4" (323.9mm) outer diameter is compatible with a broad selection of AtlasIED enclosures and mounting rings including the P77-8, P78-8, and other standard 8" ring accessories. The 51-8 carries a UL 1480 safety listing, meeting requirements for commercial loudspeaker installations. BAA and TAA compliance make it suitable for government-funded and institutional AV projects. An optional hydrophobic treatment coating is available for installations in humid environments. The 60-month warranty covers this baffle for five years from date of purchase.
