Product Overview

The Atlas Sound 335-15 is a 35RU wall-mount equipment rack cabinet for AV and network equipment installation where floor space is limited or a stand-alone floor rack is impractical. Part of the AtlasIED 300 Series, it is a welded 16-gauge cold-rolled steel enclosure with a 15-inch deep center mounting section, adjustable 10-32 rack rails, and a wide-opening design that gives integrators full access to equipment from the front and rear. Mounting hardware and wire-management gear are included, making it a complete solution for IDF closets, AV head-ends, and commercial equipment rooms.

Product Description

The 335-15 uses a three-section design: a 2-inch deep solid-steel front door, a 15-inch deep center section with adjustable mounting rails, and a 4.5-inch deep rear door, finished in #962 black epoxy. Adjustable front rack rails are tapped 10-32 and manufactured to standard EIA half-inch spacing, and as a 35RU model the cabinet includes center-section mounting rail supports for heavier equipment loads. For AV integrators and structured cabling contractors, this swing-out wall cabinet format keeps amplifiers, DSPs, and network switches accessible for service without consuming the floor footprint of a freestanding rack.

Cable management is built into the enclosure. Internal open raceways provide cable pathways, and corner brace supports on the rear section include 1.25-inch round wire access holes for harnessing excess cable. The rear panel carries 20 conduit knockouts in arrays at the top and bottom, sized for 1-inch standard and 1/2-inch / 3/4-inch concentric conduit, so electricians can land conduit cleanly during commercial AV installation. Quarter-inch boss detents on 12-inch centers (eight on this 35RU model) let contractors field-install a custom plywood, aluminum, or steel sub-plate for mounting accessories inside the cabinet. Perforated vents on both sides of the center section provide passive ventilation for rack-mounted electronics. Structurally, the cabinet uses reinforced frame flanges, plug-welded center sections, electric-welded seams and miters, and an 11-gauge center-section guide plate that distributes equipment weight to the rear section and prevents sagging when the loaded center section swings open or closed. For amplifiers, DSPs, and 70V audio equipment to fill this rack, browse the AtlasIED collection at Creation Networks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What equipment depth fits in the 335-15?
The center mounting section is 15 inches deep, which fits most commercial amplifiers, DSPs, network switches, and patch panels. Verify your deepest device against the 15-inch center section before ordering.

Are the rack rails adjustable and what screws do they use?
Yes. The front rack rails are adjustable and tapped 10-32 at standard EIA half-inch spacing, and this 35RU model includes center-section mounting rail supports.

How do I get conduit and cabling into the cabinet?
The rear section has 20 conduit knockouts in top and bottom arrays sized for 1-inch standard and 1/2-inch / 3/4-inch concentric fittings, plus internal raceways and 1.25-inch wire access holes for routing inside the cabinet.

Can I mount accessories on the back panel?
Yes. Eight boss detents on 12-inch centers let you install a custom plywood, aluminum, or steel sub-plate for mounting power strips, surge protection, or low-voltage hardware.

Does it include mounting hardware?
Yes. Mounting and wire-management gear are included. The cabinet ships at 156 pounds, so plan a two-person installation and anchor into structural framing.

What is the warranty?
AtlasIED covers 300 Series wall cabinets for 60 months from the date of purchase. Creation Networks is an authorized dealer — contact us for project quantities and rack accessory recommendations.
