Product Overview
The Atlas Sound 135-18 is a 35RU stand-alone floor equipment rack built for AV head ends, paging amplifier stacks, and equipment room installations where a full-height enclosure is needed at an economical price. Part of AtlasIED's 100 Series, the cabinet measures 22-5/16 inches wide by 18-1/2 inches deep and ships with a pair of 11-gauge fixed mounting rails and a locking rear door. The 16-gauge cold-rolled steel construction and UL 1678 listing make it a dependable choice for commercial AV rack installations in schools, offices, and government facilities. Integrators specifying mid-depth audio and control equipment will find the 17-inch usable depth well matched to amplifiers, DSPs, and network switches.
Product Description

The 135-18 is constructed of 16-gauge CRS and includes the base, top panel, side panels, fixed mounting rails, and a removable rear door with cylinder lock and flush pull handle. Installer-friendly details start at the top and bottom of the cabinet, where an expanded 6RU opening can be left open for wire access and ventilation or closed with standard vent or solid panels. The rear door hangs on quick-release spring hinges and rotates 180 degrees for right- or left-hand opening, which simplifies placement against walls and in tight equipment rooms; an optional front door is keyed differently from the rear door for layered security. The 11-gauge plated rack rails are precision tapped 10-32, recessed 11/16 inch, and marked with RU indicator hash marks so technicians can align equipment quickly during rack build-outs. Rail spacing follows the standard EIA 5/8"-5/8"-1/2" pattern for universal compatibility with rack-mount AV, IT, and security equipment. Conduit knockout arrays on the top and bottom surface panels and back flanges accept 1/2", 3/4", and 1" conduit, giving electricians multiple entry paths for power and low-voltage wiring, and the enlarged base opening supports wiring to below-floor raceways. Stamped perforated vents on all sides and the rear door promote convection cooling for amplifier-heavy loads, while phosphate pre-treatment under the textured black epoxy finish resists wear in service environments. Frequently Asked Questions
Will standard 19-inch rack equipment mount in the 135-18?
Yes. The rails follow standard EIA spacing with pre-tapped 10-32 holes, so any standard 19-inch rack-mount AV, IT, or security equipment installs directly.
How deep is the usable mounting space?
Usable depth is 17 inches behind the rail plane, suited to most commercial amplifiers, DSPs, switches, and power conditioners. Verify depth on server-class gear before specifying.
Is a front door included?
No. The locking rear door is included; front doors are optional accessories and are keyed differently from the rear door for security. Creation Networks can quote matching 35RU doors and panels.
Can the rear door swing be reversed on site?
Yes. Quick-release spring hinges let installers rotate the door 180 degrees for right- or left-hand opening without tools or extra parts.
How does wiring enter the cabinet?
Conduit knockout arrays on the top and bottom panels and flanges accept 1/2" to 1" conduit, and the enlarged base opening supports below-floor raceway wiring.
What warranty applies?
AtlasIED warrants the 135-18 for 60 months from date of purchase, and Creation Networks supports rack layout planning and accessory selection before and after the sale.
