The Ashly SP8.1P is a compact 8-inch Extended Dynamics passive subwoofer designed for both floor-standing and flyable commercial AV deployments. With 150W continuous power handling at 8 Ω, a low-frequency floor of 43 Hz, and 95 dB sensitivity, the SP8.1P delivers efficient, clean bass reinforcement for smaller commercial venues, conference rooms, and portable PA applications. Top and side threaded pole receptacles allow IS column speakers to be mounted directly on the sub, and M10 bolt holes on the enclosure support optional hanging hardware for flyable configurations in houses of worship, auditoriums, and multi-purpose rooms. Braced 12-ply birch construction, a perforated steel grille, and recessed side handles complete its commercial-grade build.
Product Description
The SP8.1P fills the gap between full-range wall-mount speakers and larger 12-inch subwoofers for commercial AV integrators who need compact, efficient low-frequency reinforcement. Its Extended Dynamics 8" ferrite woofer in a braced 12-ply birch enclosure produces clean, defined bass from 43 Hz through 180 Hz, making it an appropriate partner for Ashly IS2.8P or IS3.8P column speakers where the IS speaker's limited low-frequency reach needs augmentation without the physical footprint of the SP12.1P.
The top and side pole receptacles accept ISPM1B and ISPM6B speaker poles for a complete portable PA-on-a-stick system, while the M10 bolt holes allow the SP8.1P to be flown from rigging hardware in permanent installations. Dual Euroblock and Speakon/NL4 connectors support both installation and live sound wiring preferences. Speaker Voice Presets for Ashly Protea and AquaControl DSP processors are available for download. Available in black (SP8.1P) and white (SP8.1PW).
