Product Overview
The Ashly FX125.2 is a two-channel Class D power amplifier with integrated Protea DSP, delivering 125W per channel at 4 or 8 ohms in a half-rack chassis with built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet. The 4-input by 2-output DSP engine provides complete signal processing including input mixing, zone routing, parametric EQ, crossover, FIR filtering, speaker presets, and limiters, making the FX125.2 a complete single-box amplification and processing solution for two-zone commercial audio installations. Its half-rack form factor supports non-rack hidden installations as well as standard 19-inch rack mounting with optional brackets.
Product Description
The FX125.2 delivers 125W per channel into 2 or 4 ohm loads and supports 70V/100V constant-voltage operation when the two channels are bridged. Advanced Dynamic Power Sharing allows the full 250W power budget to shift entirely to one channel when the other is unloaded, or to distribute asymmetrically to accommodate mismatched speaker loads within the same chassis. This makes the FX125.2 effective for subwoofer-plus-satellite configurations, or any two-zone system where speaker impedances or power requirements differ between zones.
The Protea DSP engine processes four inputs through two outputs with input processing (gain, sensitivity), zone processing (source select, mono/stereo, compressor, level metering), and output processing (delay up to 100ms, 10-band fully parametric EQ, crossover, polarity, limiter modes). Speaker preset management allows independent preset loading per output channel, supporting different speaker models on different zones with FIR filter import capability for advanced loudspeaker optimization. A browser-based interface accessible from any device on any OS eliminates software installation requirements. The built-in Wi-Fi access point provides direct wireless connection without a network router; Ethernet supports permanent LAN integration and remote system access. SPDIF digital I/O supports connection to compatible digital sources and digital system bridging. Addressable GPIO, standby/mute, and per-channel VC remote ports integrate with wall remotes, control systems, and building automation. 5-year Ashly limited warranty included.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between the FX125.2 and FX125.4?
- The FX125.2 has two amplifier output channels and a 4-input x 2-output DSP configuration, while the FX125.4 has four amplifier output channels and a 4-input x 4-output DSP configuration. The FX125.2 is suited for two-zone systems, and the FX125.4 is the right choice when four independent zones or speakers require amplification.
- Can the FX125.2 power a 70V distributed speaker system?
- Yes. Bridging the two channels enables a single 250W output at 70V or 100V for constant-voltage distributed speaker systems.
- Does the FX125.2 include speaker crossover processing?
- Yes. Each output includes a fully configurable crossover, 10-band parametric EQ, delay, polarity, and limiter. Speaker presets can be saved and loaded per output, and FIR filter files from compatible speaker manufacturers can be imported for advanced optimization.
- How does the FX125.2 connect to a network or laptop for configuration?
- The FX125.2 has a built-in Wi-Fi access point for direct wireless connection from any browser-enabled PC, tablet, or smartphone without a network router. Ethernet provides wired LAN integration for permanent systems. All configuration is done through a browser interface with no software to install.
- What are the mounting options for the FX125.2?
- The FX125.2 can be used free-standing in casework, behind displays, under furniture, or inside AV equipment. Ashly FA1.2RM (rack-mount), FA2.2RM (rear rail support), and FATWB (flush wall/surface mount) bracket kits are available as optional accessories.
