The APC Battery Back-UPS Pro BX850M is an 850VA compact-tower UPS battery backup that protects desktop AV endpoints, computers, and small networked devices from outages, surges, and voltage fluctuations. This APC Back-UPS 850 model combines automatic voltage regulation with surge and network data line protection in a space-saving 120V chassis. It is a practical UPS battery backup for equipment shelves and desktop installations where footprint matters. With eight outlets and an LCD status display, the BX850M delivers reliable runtime for smaller AV and IT loads.
Product Description
The BX850M provides 850VA of capacity from a 120V compact tower chassis with eight NEMA outlets, four of which provide battery backup and surge protection and four of which provide surge protection only. Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) corrects high and low voltage conditions without switching to battery, which preserves battery capacity during brownouts and over-voltage events. An LCD display shows key UPS status at a glance, including load and battery bar graphs. The unit includes 1GB network data line protection to guard connected equipment against surges traveling over the network line. The compact tower design makes the unit convenient to place and install. The battery is user-replaceable using the RBC17 cartridge (sold separately), so the unit can stay in service across battery cycles. The BX850M is ENERGY STAR certified for energy-efficient operation.
