It is the transmitter half of the AMX DXLink 4K60 extension system, designed for conference rooms, classrooms, and corporate AV installations where display or source equipment is distant from the AV rack.

The AMX DX-TX-4K60 DXLink 4K60 HDMI extender transmitter carries 4K60 4:4:4 HDR video with HDCP 2.2, bidirectional RS-232 for display control, IR passthrough, and 100Mbps Ethernet over a single Cat-5e/6 cable — eliminating long HDMI cable runs from the presenter location to the equipment rack. As a key component of AMX DXLink AV extension systems, it pairs with the DX-RX-4K60 receiver and integrates natively with AMX DVX all-in-one switchers and Enova DGX matrix switchers that include DXLink input boards, enabling a clean, standards-based HDBaseT extension infrastructure for enterprise conference room AV distribution. The DX-TX-4K60 is PoE-powered from a compatible DXLink receiver or switcher, reducing power supply requirements at the transmitter end.
